EMERGENCY SERVICES
We are committed to providing exceptional fire protection, technical rescue, and non-transport EMS service to the greater Buckhannon area.
Fire Prevention
Throughout the year we visit every elementary and pre-k school in our first due area as well as many childcare facilities. We are actively involved with fire prevention on the campus of West Virginia Wesleyan College. The department also runs a program installing free smoke detectors for those owning their homes.

In addition to these activities, the department employs one firefighter who also assists the city with ensuring fire and life safety codes are met inside the City of Buckhannon.
